Primordial

A couple of years back, I bought a beautiful poster at the Smithsonian. I think it's called One Billion Years Ago... or something like that. I've always loved it. They have a wall painting of it at the Natural History Museum in Washington, DC. It's a picture of what the dawn of life might have looked like. Colorful. Beautiful. I've always wanted to go there. To go back into time and see for myself all the strange creatures - most of which simply later dissapeared in one cataclysm or another.

Sometimes thinking about that got me through geology class.

This is my version, but it doesn't have to be earth. It could be any planet, couldn't it?

The render times were huge. This picture took me about 4 days to render. This is, by far, the longest I've waited for a picture at this point.
