Scaphandre
I wanted to do an underwater scene for a while and I figured I would. I
was watching "The City of Lost Children" the other night and there is a
scene where a man in a deep sea diving suit (an old fashioned one) rescues a
girl underwater and walks away with her. Great movie. Beautiful photography.
He's under the port and it is black as pitch at night and a light shines in
the distance brightly under the murky water while he carries her. The parts
of the film that you can see are grainy as heck and dark green.
Anyway, this is what I kinda was trying to get, from *his* perspective, when
trying to build the scene. But then, I figured it also reminded me of
something out of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, in the return to the Nautilus
after the visit of the wreck. So, in the end, it's a confusing picture by a
confusing sort of person with a confusing sort of tale to tell.
But isn't that just the beautiful nature of art itself? :)
