Think of it like a book. Gallery 1 is the oldest artwork. You work your way up from there.

That's the best way to read the whole series. :) The latest artwork is always in the highest number gallery. :)

Here are some test shots for the demo reel that I am currently working on. :) These are done primarily with Maya, Maya renderer, and Pixar Renderman.

Traveling Uncle Nat. :)

Welcome to the travels of Traveling Uncle Nat

What is this about?

It's simple.

A year and a half ago, after I had been making pictures in 3D software for some previous months before that, I came up with an idea for a scene named "The Brown-backed Turtles of Boshki-bof". It looked sort of like a Dr. Seuss scene to me, so I wrote up a "Seussian" sort of story to go with it, as if it were a post card. Then I posted it to the newsgroups.

Everyone liked it.

I liked it. :)

I decided to tag it with the name "Traveling Uncle Nat" because that was a nickname I had been given years ago when I was in Israel as a High School student, due to my recounting these insanely terrific adventures that no one would ever believe. Somebody remarked that it made me sound like "Traveling Uncle Matt" from the show Fraggle Rock on HBO. I thought it was a great nickname and it applied in this sort of situation. Therefore, I used it after it having lain dormant for around 10 years.

Everyone loved the picture so much and the story as well, that I decided that I had finally struck my little 'motif' in my 3D artwork. I started making picture after picture with that idea in mind as I traveled in the Bryce worlds that I created. Now, people are talking about me making a book with the stories and pictures. I'm still not sure they are good enough, nor do I think I have enough material. But, the stories are kinda cute and I could see how they would be nice in a book format.

Anyway, I've decided to separate my travels from the rest of my Bryce pictures. If they aren't in book form yet, they can at least be viewed seperately and with less confusion this way. :)

By the way, this is what most people come to this web site to see: My 3D work. I really don't consider myself to be that good, but I do think it's fun. So if you're one of those who likes my work, sign up to my email list. It won't spam you - don't worry. I rarely have time to produce more than one work every 2 weeks to 2 months. And you only get one announcement when there is something new to see. That's it. :)

Enjoy. :)

- Traveling Uncle Nat. :)

This site and it's contents are generally Copyright 1999-2050 A.D. This is also known as C.E. (for Common Era - since some people still rely on other calendars and we respect those as well but want to give them a general time frame to understand where we're coming from and make sure that there are no misunderstandings about timelines and dates involved in sticky legal issues). You are invited to touch anything you like, but please ask via email before you carry anything out of the store. I generally do not charge for any work but I do like to know where my little creations end up at. It makes me happy knowing what sort of parents are adopting them. Thank you. :)

This site is also brought to you by hotjump.com. hotjump is my creation along with my brother's and another very good friend of ours. I designed this little mascot guy as well. Everyone likes him. Some people even use the site just to see him. Check it out. hotjump.com is a portal that is for consumers of e-commerce. It's lots of fun and it's got a different design than the regular portals out there. I feel that regular portals tend to have crappy design. Don't you think they all pretty much look the same?

This site brought to you by harari.org. The above link will take you there. It is a boblet. A boblet is a nice little creature that is friendly. I designed him. Isn't he cute? I named him after my traveling uncle bob. He's cool. He works for the UN sometimes and helps out thousands of starving people in really bad places.
