The Bubblechains of Nwip

Arriving in Nwip during my journey through the stars, I decided to rough it alone on a week-long hike. I had heard that there were many oddities to this place - many of which have never been yet seen by visiting eyes.
Only two days into my walk and I hit upon a little placid crater in the land. From above, I could see a little glow inside, hidden among the trees. Picking up courage (you never know what lurks within dark corners, even in the most habitable regions of space) I descended for the night. What a reward!
Away from view, hidden inside this crater, lives a tiny man in little glass bubbles. Within, a safe and pleasant little world in each. They hang from beautifully crafted chains hooked solidly to the trees. At times, the rains come and the bubbles float during these periods. The glass looks fragile, but it is made of a solid, crystal-like, material that will weather even bumps against bark and rocks.
Wendrik, the little man, cares for the trees within the bubbles. Inside each is a livable space, complete with scientific instruments of all sorts. Wendrik is an avid naturalist and scientist. He invited me inside and, with only a quick taste of a tangy potion, I found myself in a beautiful bonsai world. I quickly learned that time was different in these places which gave me an opportunity to listen to his tales and adventures without missing a beat of my hike and my journey through the stars.
