Glade.

After landing on the outskirts of the land of Peeblinar, I undertook a hike through it's famous misty swamps. The secluded stretch of land is reputed to be ten days march from any side to it's opposite. Sometimes the dangers were very real as the murky swamp reaches out to catch you around your ankles and drag you slowly in. But then, near the centre, what serenity. What peace. What mystical wonders abound. Its' well known bokka trees reach up for hundreds of feet into the sky, letting in only thin streams of light, filtered by countless leaves to create a mosaic of gentle rays that sway with the motion of each branch, and dazzle the eyes in the gentle darkness. Phosphorous mushrooms and moulds play with beautiful colours before you, lighting the way around some of the more dangerous paths. The air is warm. And the trees speak to you.

I must visit here again.
