The Hills of Tatrafoff Naru
A later stop in the journey through the stars brings me to a large planet orbiting a bluish sun. Here, we docked for a few days to go hiking amidst the many natural splendours of this beautiful unsullied planet. The water in the mountains was crisp and clear and so invigorating to drink. One of the many wonders to behold are the hills above the plateau of the mountain heights. Here, beautiful soft verdant hills covered with colourful wildflowers spread before the eyes. Even the highest peaks are covered with carpets of these living tapestries that one dare not pick lest it mar the splendour of such a painting. Beyond, deep in the mountain heights, water flows from a never-ending glacier, pounding into the depths below. The mist of the gigantic waterfall turning a soft pink with the strange lighting hues of the mountain air and the hued sun.
A local guide from the species of the Oompta led the way to show us one of the many scenic views of this area. He says that this tree is very special and has lived for many thousands of years. It grows alone up here and is revered by all the tribes around who come here to witness it. They believe that it is what brings such vibrant life to these high places. They say that the roots bury so deep as to become part of the roots of the mountains themselves.
I stayed for many more days here before leaving. But I know I shall be back again someday.
